Art Deco in design, with plenty of greenery and monochrome detailing – The Siam Hotel

On my recent travels to Thailand, I had the pleasure of staying in a really chic yet laid back hotel in Bangkok, at The Siam Hotel. Art Deco in design, with plenty of greenery and monochrome detailing, it all sets the scene for a memorable and luxe experience. Room wise, you can choose from a number of uniquely special suites, such as the Siam Suite it Riverview Suite, or you can be treat yourself to a magnificent pool villa; or perhaps even Connie’s Cottage, a century-old traditional Thai teak house which has been transformed into a ‘rustic Thai pool cottage’.

LOCATION

The Siam is the only luxury hotel you can find in Bangkok’s historical Dusit District.  The area is known for its exotic markets, awe-inspiring temples and magical monuments.

FOOD

Their Deco Bar & Bistro features mouth watering, fresh meals to match an extensive drinks list. No matter what type of breakfast you’re into, English, Asian or something super health conscious, they cater for it all. You can tell they care about the quality of their ingredients, and the overall guest experience, which is two of many reasons why I can genuinely recommend it to you guys. Other dining options are the Cafe Cha, the Chon Thai restaurant and the Bathers Bar.

FACILITIES

The Riverside Infinity Pool by @thesiamhotel is right up there with the most beautiful hotel pools I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. The designer pool overlooking Chao Phraya, River of Kings, was really only just one of many favorite elements of my fantastic, Butler assisted stay there. Apart from a beautiful, designer Riverside Infinity Pool, the butler assisted service and the chic Art Deco design, the @thesiamhotel has an endless list of leisurely activities to fill your holiday stay with.

Nourish your wellbeing at their luxurious Opium Spa, freshen up at their dedicated hair and nail salon, or sweat it out with your very own Muay Thai session. That’s not all; there are wellness programs, and what’s even more impressive is that you can get a sacred Sak Yant Thai traditional tattoo through the hotel’s services.

I also came across the quirkiest, most uniquely decorated space I’ve probably ever found myself in. Wall to wall with vintage items and one-of-a-kind paraphernalia, such as a vintage piano, an old record player, a birdcage, a crocodile and other abstract items and wonderful old-worldly props; you’ll feel like you’re on a movie set. Their Atrium space features sky high ceilings which are light filled from every angle. I love that such a luxurious hotel has a space like this, to awaken our child-like imaginations.

EXPERIENCE

Not only did I take time out from my work schedule to enjoy sightseeing, great food, and plenty of shopping, that was really just the beginning. I felt really at home here during my stay, whilst luxuriating at every moment I wasn’t working, I tried to make time to take my mind off work and just relax. Having a game of pool was something I never expected to be doing on this trip, but it was a very welcome pastime as I haven’t played for years. So whether you like to lay by the pool, or shop til’ you drop, or eat until your heart is content, there is something for everyone to enjoy at The Siam

STAFF

Friendly faces all around, with no request being an inconvenience. The staff seem genuinely happy to represent the hotel and it shows that they take pride in their roles. The most luxurious part? If you have a special request, you can simply ask your Butler.

SUMMARY

There will be some places I visit during my travels that I will never forget, and one of these will no doubt be the beautiful, Art Deco-inspired The Siam Hotel in Thailand.

I recently had the pleasure of partnering with Alfa Romeo Australia. The team offered me their Stelvio Quadrifoglio model to drive from Sydney to Canberra, and to say I loved driving those wheels around would be an understatement.
